Join the UNI Department of Biology for BioBlitz – a full day of fun for all ages at the UNI Biological Preserves! With the help of our biology experts, you'll track and identify a variety of species on our beautiful campus at the Daryl Smith Prairie.
Schedule of activities:
7-8 a.m. / Birding
8-9 a.m. / Small mammal trapping and observation
1-3 p.m. / Wildflower identification, bee and butterfly counting, invertebrate monitoring and large mammal observation with trail cameras
8-8:30 p.m. / Bat detection with an ultrasonic detector
8-9:30 p.m. / Insect monitoring
8-9 a.m. / Small mammal trapping and observation
