Community Nature Quest: Soil Pigments with Erin Anfinson, Cedar Falls

Learn about the work of visual artist, animator, and Professor of Art at Middle Tennessee State University, Erin Anfinson, who will be joining us virtually. Erin has been an Artist-In-Residence with the National Park Service and the UNI Tallgrass Prairie Center. Erin will also be teaching participants how to create their own pigments from soil. Join us the Nature Conservancy for a full-day training designed for landowners who want to learn how to safely and effectively use prescribed fire to manage prairies and woodlands. You’ll gain practical knowledge on fire benefits, burn planning, fire weather, safety, and essential tools and techniques. While there will not be a live burn, this workshop will prepare you to use fire as a powerful management tool. Registration required.
