The Savanna Institute's Prairie Farm Gathering will be held in Iowa this year for the first time. This event brings together land stewards, farmers and perennial enthusiasts to share work, research and lessons learned. The TPC's Laura Jackson is a panelist.

Hidden Prairie: Photographing Life in One Square Meter with Chris Helzer, Coralville

Ecologist and conservation photographer Chris Helzer's presentation will inspire you to visit prairies and look more closely at them than you might otherwise. This free Bur Oak Land Trust event is being held at the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts. Registration required.

Kothenbeutel Pasque Flower Hike , Sheffield

Spend the morning hiking alongside Central Iowa Land Stewardship Director, Ryan Schmidt, to find pasque flowers — one of spring's first wildflowers. The hike will also provide insight into the history of the property and on-site restoration projects.
