Second June Prairie Walk

Join the Tallgrass Prairie Center and Cathy Irvine for evening strolls at Irvine Prairie on the fourth Mondays of the month, March-September with additional walks on June 8 and July 6. Come enjoy the prairie with neighbors and friends; all ages are welcome!

Throughout the season we will be joined by partners and guest speakers to lead walks on topics that showcase different aspects of Irvine Prairie. Additionally, we invite you to participate in a read-along of John Madson’s Where the Sky Began.

  • June 22nd – Learn more about the Bumblebee Atlas and the bee monitoring surveys conducted at Irvine from John Feeley, Xerces Society Volunteer.

All walks begin at 6:00 p.m. near the parking area by the Irvine Prairie rock. Please come prepared for the weather. Water, closed-toe shoes, and long pants are recommended. In the event of inclement weather, walks will be moved to the following Monday.
