Shateah Wetering joined the center staff in June 2024 and serves with the Green Iowa AmeriCorps until August 2024. She grew up in a small town in central Iowa. She is currently attending school at the University of Northern Iowa and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. Prior to her service with Green Iowa AmeriCorps, she had previous experience with prairie restoration work at the University of Iowa. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, and horseback riding.
