Jalen is our 3-month summer Green Iowa AmeriCorps member for 2026. Originally from Waverly, Jalen graduated from Wartburg College this spring. He is looking forward to gaining experience working in prairie conservation to aid in applying to graduate school next fall. Jalen hopes to pursue a thesis-based master's degree in conservation biology or natural resource management in the future. Outside of his service position, he enjoys lifting weights, doing yard work, and has recently been trying to take up golf.
