Linn County Landowner Workshop/Expo (Iowa)

Sunday, September 17, 2017 - 1:00pm to 4:30pm
Marion, Iowa

The second Linn County Landowner Workshop/Expo of the year is scheduled for Sunday, September 17, 2017, from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. It will take place at the headquarters of the Monarch Research Project near Marion, Iowa.

Why a forum for landowners?
An amazing 1,000 acres of public land has been identified for restoration in Cedar Rapids, Marion, Hiawatha and Linn County, with private funding through the Monarch Research Project.

Landowners interested in becoming part of this movement should plan to attend this informative session.  The goal for the event is to help landowners:

·Learn the benefits of natural land.
·Discover the federal, state and local funds available for the establishment of pollinator habitat.
·Meet experts who can help them take the first steps toward adding nature to their land.

Organizing partners for this event include the Monarch Research Project, Linn County Conservation Board, Indian Creek Nature Center, Trees Forever, and the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation.
