Monarchs and Pollinators: The Need for Habitat Restoration – Orley “Chip” Taylor
Changes in agriculture and development have contributed to the decline of monarchs and many other species. Learn about the causes and rates of habitat loss and what it will take to restore landscapes to sustain the monarch migration, as well as the ecosystems that support us. Dr. Taylor founded Monarch Watch, a collaborative network dedicated to monarch butterflies, well known for its tagging program. Since 1992 over 1.5 million monarchs have been tagged, providing insights about the fall monarch migration.
