Creating the Case for Habitat in Rights-of-Way

Please join us as we kick off the 2018 seminar series! Kristine Nemec will present "Creating the Case for Habitat in Rights-of-Way."

Kristine Nemec manages the integrated roadside vegetation management program at the UNI Tallgrass Prairie Center, providing training and education for Iowa's county roadside programs, and conducting outreach to raise awareness of IRVM. Previously she worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Omaha, where she developed and implemented ecosystem restoration plans, and the U.S.D.A. Agricultural Research Service in Brookings, South Dakota where she researched pollinator use of biofuel oilseed crops. Kristine received a B.S. in Environmental Studies (1999) and an M.A. in Biology (2003) from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and a Ph.D. in Natural Resource Sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2012).
